Naomi Louise Simpson was born on the 28th november 1988 at Simpsons Memorial Hospital Edinburgh.she weighed 6lbs.she was the wonderfall daughter to ange and meg and had 3 sisters julie claire and annette.when naomi was alittle girl she was a total tomboy.no dolls prams and dolls for 'nomes' i remember one christmas all she wanted was a tractor and trailer.she loved power rangers and acted as if she one and was a fan of mr blooby(bless)she enjoyed helping dad out in the garden and talked him in to builing her a go-cart.she helped make it and was proud of the result!
About 10 years ago naomi and her family moved from scotland to a small town in essex called thaxted.naomi loved it here and made many friends.she went to thaxted primary then on to HRS secondary where she grew up in to the lovely young lady she was.when she left school she went to work with small children.she worked at the barn nursary stanbrook near her family home.naomi was very fond of children and took great interest in her niece chloe and nephew harvey.when she was god-mother to harvey she took the role very seriously.
Naomi enjoyed stuff from every day life and was always doing something.she mainly enjoyed going on holidays with friends wither it was going abroad or camping out near home she loved it and always talked alot about places she had visited.family and friends were always inportant to naomi and she loved having them around.she also enjoyed going out to the pubs and socialising with friends and family.she would always be up for a party.
In september 2007 naomi was diagnosed with acute leukaemia.we coudnt believe it but knowing the strong personality naomi had we always believed she would battle the illness and make a full recovery.she started chemo straight away but after the first lot doctors said it was un-sucessful and that if futher chemo was un-sucessful she may only have a year to live.
Despite what doctors said naomi tried her very best to get on with life and do the best she could altough she was limited to what she actually could do.she went out and bought a car and started taking driving lessons as this was something she always wanted to do.she still went out and had fun with family and friends until her condition worsend.
Naomi showed just how brave she was on the 2nd of august 2008 when she was a bridesmaid at my wedding.being a bridesmaid proberly ment alot to her as she had never been one before and sometimes used to talk about it.altough she was confinded to a wheelchair she got up and stood un-aided for some photos and was determind to be one of the last people to leave the reception.
however one week later naomi was addmitted to hospital as she was suffering with terrible pains she stayed there one week then we were told the news we did not want to hear.her illness had worsend and a cure was not to be.she was then addmitted to East Anglians Childrens Hospice Cambridge where she would spend her final days.
Sadly on the 24th august 2008 naomis short life ended in the arms of her parents and close friend.words couldnt and still cant describe how much we all miss her.we have to try and remember all the happier times before she got this illness.she was always so full of fun and had the most big blue eyes and long eyelashes you have seen.altough we can not see naomi in sight she will live on through all the special memories.we love you so so much 'naomi'we will never forget you.you are one bright star in the sky now.sweet dreams princess.xxxxxxxxx

Hopefully, I was a good friend to Naomi, You could never do anything to help her.... Too strong willed and a very courageous Young women.
I went to school with Naomi and was friends with her for years, we didn't see each other as often as we would of liked but when we did we always managed to have a lot giggling and generally picked up from where we had left off. I miss her Greatly and hopefully played a massive part in her life and throughout her illness, wish I could bring her back and continue our fun we used to have. She has had a massive impact on my life and I find her an inspiration and a True Hero. I love you Very Much Naomi and not a day goes by where I do not think of you. Miss you, Love you.xx
